Perhaps one of our new favourite venues in London, last week the VSL team were delighted to visit London’s most iconic neighbourhood, to explore the newly opened Broadwick Soho. Located on the corner of Broadwick Street and Berwick Street, this venue is an exciting addition to the area.
Attending as guests of 8th Floor, we were excited to view this new independent hotel, which boasts 57 boutique designed rooms, including nine lavish suites and a stunning penthouse, as well as the hotel’s four food and beverage offerings; Dear Jackie, The Nook, The Dining room and our personal favourite, Flute, the rooftop bar and terrace.
Nestled in the heart of the vibrant Soho district, Broadwick Soho is the first hotel in London designed by the infamous Martin Brudnizki – the same designer behind The Wolseley and Annabel's. It is said Brudnizki took inspiration from Soho's cool mix of history, whilst combined with "your eccentric grandmother’s Soho townhouse". Essentially, the property is like crashing your quirky friend's house in the heart of Soho!
The property features 57 meticulously designed rooms; where every detail is curated to perfection. The nine exclusive suites offer an elevated level of luxury, featuring spacious layouts, private balconies, and panoramic views over the bustling Soho below. The penthouse is the epitome of luxury, with its expansive living areas, private terrace, and bespoke amenities.
In terms of event spaces, the eighth-floor Dining Room, can take up to 28 guests on one table for breakfast, lunch or private dinner events. This private space is simply stunning. The room is a light-filled space with exquisite décor, a cosy fireplace and floor-to-ceiling windows with views stretching all the way from the London Eye, to St Paul’s and beyond. The dining room is a perfect spot for intimate meetings, dinners and private celebrations.
One other area worth a notable mention is The Nook, a residents-only spot on the ground floor, where you can relax in a sitting-room style lounge, with coffees and cocktails. Decked out in Italian fabrics and vintage details, you’re immediately transported to a cosy evening atmosphere, where you’ll never want to leave!
From the moment you step inside Broadwick Soho, it's evident that every detail has been carefully curated to create an atmosphere of sophistication and grandeur. Each space throughout the hotel is a testament to Brudnizki's mastery; with an emphasis on comfort, style, and functionality. The entire team absolutely loved the venue and we cannot recommend enough popping into see it for yourself!
